Lockdown is keeping Dads away

Lockdown as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic has brought heartache on so many levels. Without doubt, one of the most heartbreaking that parents, invariably Dads, are being kept away from their children. Parents living apart are, either through ignorance or volition, preventing their children from seeing the estranged parent. 

 

The delays to family court hearings going ahead is further exacerbating this situation and weeks or even months are going past without contact. 

 

The government restrictions do not prevent any parent from seeing their children providing sensible precautions are taken. It is and will always be in the best interest of the children to have a healthy, regular contact relationship with both of their parents.
