Court orders
Domestic Abuse – the Family Court refers to abuse between intimate parties as domestic abuse. It is reported to the Court in 6 main types – physical, sexual, psychological, financial, emotional and culturally specific abuse such as forced marriage, honour based violence and dowry related abuse.

Sadly there is domestic abuse in some form in a large majority of the cases which find their way to Family Court.

Victims of domestic abuse may wish to consider a non-molestation order (sometimes commonly referred to a restraining order) and/or an occupation order.
