CAFCASS - Children And Family Court Advisory and Support Service - is expecting to update its domestic abuse policy in October 2024. The revised policy aims to omprove CAFCASS' response to domestic abuse, ensuring a consistent reporting and assessment for families affected; and emphasise the significance of safeguarding children and promoting their welfare in such cases.
This policy includes updated practice guidelines for CAFCASS practitioners, focusing on risk identifcation, and assessment and effective intervention strategies.
